1. 1st picking cycle (January 2007 - July 2010)

1.1. Duration

This picking cycle starts on 1 January 2007 and ends on 31 July 2010.

1.2. Picking players

You play by picking players.

At any moment before the end of the picking cycle, you can pick a player if he satisfies all the following conditions:

Is there a list of the players that I can pick?

- he is from Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Germany, France, England, Netherlands or Spain

What happens if I pick a player that has a double citizenship, and then he is officially committed to the national team that is not eligible for Fantasy Scout?

- he has not played more than 2 international A matches

You can pick a player if he has played 0, 1 or 2 international A matches.

What is an "international A match"?

Check how many matches a given player has played on Soccerway .

- nobody has picked him (in any picking cycle)

You can't pick a picked player, even if the scout that has picked him has left the game.

To pick a player, just send an e-mail to fantasyscout@yahoogroups.com .

Every e-mail you send to fantasyscout@yahoogroups.com will be automatically forwarded to every scout, including yourself.

If you don't pick at least 2 players in 2009 (if it's not your first year as a scout), at the end of that year your player or 2 players with most points will lose all their points. If you don't pick at least 1 player in 2010 you won't be included in this picking cycle ranking.

You have to pick at least one player between January and July 2010.

In any case, you can't pick more than 16 players in a year.

The only limit to picks is the yearly one.

You can't drop a player once picked.

1.3. Score

The score of a player of yours is 1 point for each cap he earns + 1 point for each goal he scores in international A matches in his entire career after you have picked him.

What is an "international A match"?

Points scored after the end of the picking cycle count too.

You can get the data about caps and goals on Soccerway.

Who are the best historic players according to the scoring system?

Your score is the average score of the players you have picked in this picking cycle.

Picking 1 player that scores 20 points is better than picking 10 players that score 10 points each.

1.4. Trading players

At any moment (even after the end of the picking cycle), you can buy one player from another scout, exchanging him with one player of yours.

The exchange will be official when both scouts will e-mail fantasyscout@groups.io .

Every e-mail you send to fantasyscout@groups.io will be automatically forwarded to every scout, including yourself.

The two players (the one that you've bought and the one that you've sold) are counted as one player only for the sake of the score: you keep the points scored by your former player while he was yours, and gain the points that your new player scores since you have bought him.
